The KMC equipment is broken up between two entites with V handling the 776 exchange and VA assigned exchanges 742 through 745. U.S. Sprint was also once colocated here but the exchange records have since disappeared from NANPA records.

Many thanks to Joe Stevens for confirming that this office was originally owned by the Norfolk & Carolina Telephone & Telegraph Company. Ownership was briefly transfered to United Inter-Mountain Telephone Company when United Telephone (later Sprint) merged N&CT&T into Carolina Telephone & Telegraph (also later Sprint). Readers will note the similarity in the decorative pieces on the front of the CO wall which are very similar to those used at other exN&TCT&T offices. A good example of the architectual feature is found on the side/front of the Weeksville central office.
